10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement - Roundtable Reducing Methane Emissions from the Energy Sector (Limited seats only)
Oct 29, 2025 — 10:00 am - 10:59 AMTR 1 - Musée de la Marine

Description
Reducing methane emissions, as a short-lived climate pollutant with powerful warming potential, is one of the only levers available to change the trajectory of emissions over this decade and keep global warming as close as possible to 1.5°C by 2100. However, anthropogenic methan emissions continue to rise. This session will highlight scientific and technological advances that enable rapid and low-cost emissions reductions and will highlight action implemented by the energy sector, while calling for high-level and regulatory action, including convergence of approaches on methane intensity standards.
