Description

Giulia Ferrini is the Head of the UN Environment Programme’s International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO), leading UNEP’s data-driven efforts to accelerate methane mitigation. A founder of IMEO in 2021, she helped shape its mission to provide open, reliable, and actionable data for emissions reduction. She oversees a multidisciplinary team of over 70 experts. Previously, she managed the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0, UNEP’s flagship framework underpinning the EU Methane Regulation and engaging more than 150 companies. Over the past decade at UNEP, Ms. Ferrini has worked with governments, financial institutions, and industry to advance global climate solutions.
