(Session co-organized with Association of Charity Lotteries in Europe).Civil society places a crucial role in not only peacemaking and humanitarian response, but in a great many areas of society, from preserving our heritage and protecting the environment to supporting our young people and preventing poverty. However, charities face a tough fundraising environment across Europe, often as the services they provide are in greater demand. Charity lotteries have proven to be a multi-million fundraising success story in several European countries and could be in others too. Join the Association of Charity Lotteries in Europe and a panel of charity lottery operators and civil society leaders to discuss the potential for growing this income stream and to discuss the launch of their new report “Supporting Civil society Under Pressure”.
