The year 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, the innovative, dynamic, and universal framework that commits the international community to taking action to limit global warming to well below 2°C, and if possible, 1.5°C. In this context, France is organising a series of events and initiatives to highlight thecontributions of the Paris Agreement and strengthen multilateral momentum on climate change, in support of Brazil's presidency of COP30.The 8th edition of the Paris Peace Forum will be an opportunity to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement ahead of COP30 in Belém. The focus will be on three priority issues to reduce emissions over the next decade and limit global warming to as close to 1.5°C as possible: energy-related methane emissions, the transition away from coal, and nature-based solutions — issues on which France is particularly engaged.
