(Session co-organized with Qatar Debate). Digital media has become an essential space for documenting realities, sharing perspectives, and mobilizing voices across borders. Its strength lies in making the invisible visible and in opening channels of dialogue where traditional media cannot reach. Yet at the same time, social media platforms are under scrutiny: algorithms distort visibility, certain voices are silenced, and narratives are curated in ways that often reflect power rather than the truth. This paradox places digital media at the core of today’s conflicts—indispensable for those seeking justice and peace, yet vulnerable to manipulation and control. A central question remains: how can we preserve the role of digital media as a force for resolution while challenging the mechanisms that suppress and distort it?
