Rebalancing Global Order: Can Europe Find its Voice?
Oct 30, 2025 — 09:30 am - 10:15 AMScène B - Musée de l'Homme

Description
As old alliances shift and new power centers rise, Europe faces a defining moment. In the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, tariff wars, rising tensions between the United States and China and increasing global instability, Europe’s geopolitical landscape has dramatically shifted. As traditional security guarantees appear increasingly uncertain and dependencies (on energy, tech, defense, raw materials) grow more complex, Europe faces a pivotal question: how to reconcile its economic model, values-driven diplomacy, and geopolitical interests while forging new partnerships and coalitions? Is Europe fit to project a coherent, sovereign diplomacy in a world of realpolitik, economic coercion, and geopolitical rivalry? Simply put, is Europe going to find its voice as a geopolitical power? This session will explore how Europe is reshaping its diplomacy, investment, and trade agenda to remain influential in an increasingly multipolar world.
