Nicolas Barré is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Centre de formation des journalistes de Paris. He was correspondent for Les Echos in Tokyo and New York, deputy managing editor of Le Figaro and then managing editor of Les Echos for ten years. In addition to Japan and the United States, he has lived in Lebanon and Tunisia. He is Executive Editor at Politico since January 2025.
