On December 14, 1995, the Dayton Peace Accords were signed in Paris, bringing an end to the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992–1995), one of the deadliest conflicts in Europe since the Second World War. A generation later, this key country in the Western Balkans continues its slow path toward stabilization while seeking to move forward with a European perspective. In 2024, the heads of state and government of the European Union decided to open accession negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. What are the expectations, ambitions, and concerns of the post-war generation of Bosnians now coming of age and entering positions of responsibility? Four young Bosnians will share their views on Europe, the achievements of thirty years of peace, trust, and their common future, in conversation with Benjamin Haddad, French Minister Delegate for Europe.
