Over the past year, Israeli-Palestinian civil society has played an essential role in efforts to end the war in Gaza and in shaping new diplomatic pathways toward sustainable peace. Given the scale of trauma and dehumanization, any renewed diplomatic process must reach far deeper than those that came before and must engage both societies directly, breaking with three decades of exclusively elite-driven, top-down diplomacy. Peacebuilders on the ground also require a credible diplomatic horizon, one that Israelis and Palestinians can trust and that, for the first time, pools the legitimacy, leverage, and ideas of the United States, the Arab world, and Europe.This panel brings Israeli and Palestinian civil society leaders together with policymakers to examine how such a broader and deeper process can function. The discussion will explore how three complementary and consecutive diplomatic tracks—the civil society Paris Call, the French-Saudi New York Declaration, and the U.S. 20-Point Plan—can be aligned into a single, coherent strategy.A strong partnership among the United States, Arab states, and Europe can consolidate legitimacy, prevent fragmentation, and restore focus to an issue newly urgent after the past two years of violence. Deep civil society participation will ensure that diplomatic plans are grounded in lived reality and address shared trauma, rather than being detached initiatives of international actors. The central question is whether this new approach to Israeli-Palestinian diplomacy—geopolitically broader and socially deeper—can finally deliver peace, equality, and security for both peoples.
