Fagnako, supported by Canopy Energies, restores degraded land in eastern Madagascar through agroforestry centered on the Pongamia tree, a resilient, nitrogen-fixing species. It creates 400 permanent jobs and 3,000 seasonal ones, improves soil quality, strengthens food security, supports local development, and produces green energy. This model is replicable on a national scale.
