Description

Laurence Devillers is a professor of artificial intelligence at Sorbonne University and a researcher at the CNRS in the interdisciplinary laboratory for digital sciences (LISN). She is head of the HUMAAINE chair in AI: Human-Machine Affective Interaction & Ethics. Her research focuses mainly on generative AI, emotion detection, oral dialogue, affective robotics, and ethics. She is president of the Blaise Pascal Foundation for scientific mediation in mathematics and computer science for children's education. She has been a member of national and international digital ethics committees and AFNOR. She has written more than 200 scientific publications (Google h-index: 46) and several essays for the general public, including IA, Ange ou Démon ? (CERF 2025). She is involved in the IRAISE coalition for Beneficial AI for children.
