Description

Brett Solomon is a Senior Research Fellow at the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley's School of Law where he co-leads the Digital Ceasefire Initiative. He is currently writing a book on the digitalization of warfare to be published by Cambridge University Press in 2026. He is also a Fellow at the Tech Policy Design Institute. Brett is the co-founder of Access Now, where as Executive Director for 15 years to 2024, he led the organization’s fight to defend and extend the digital rights of users at risk around the world. Prior to that he spent many years working at Oxfam, Amnesty International, GetUp and Avaaz.
