Dr. Angi Yoder-Maina is Founder/Executive Director of the Green String Network in Kenya and Director of the Resilience Institute for Strength and Empowerment (RISE) at Florida State University. Over 30 years working in conflict-affected regions, she pioneered a community-based mental health prevention infrastructure that positions communities as architects of their own healing systems. Her healing-centered peacebuilding approach and Wellbeing and Resilience (WebR) Framework have reached over 148,000 people across East Africa, demonstrating 68% wellbeing improvement through volunteer-led peer support healing circles. Her work has been recognized with the Dr. Guislain Award ($50,000), World Economic Forum Top Innovator designation, and selection by the Paris Peace Forum.
