Description
Alexandra Hegarty is a Critical Minerals Analyst at the International Energy Agency within the Critical Minerals Division in the Office of the Chief Energy Economist. She leads the team’s work on financing and investment in critical mineral supply chains, with a focus as well on supply and demand modelling for nickel and cobalt and environmental, social and governance considerations. She is a principal author of the IEA reports the Global Critical Mineral Outlook, The Recycling of Critical Minerals, The Role of Traceability in Critical Mineral Supply Chains, and Sustainable and Responsible Critical Mineral Supply Chains. Prior to joining the IEA, Alexandra worked as an Economist at Natural Resources Canada, where she concentrated on market trends and economic analysis of critical minerals. She holds an MA in Economics from the University of Toronto.
