He is responsible for implementing the national debt strategy, mobilizing external resources, and maintaining relations with investors and multilateral financial partners.Before joining the Ivorian administration, he held several positions in the financial sector, in France, Africa, and internationally. He began his career as an analyst at Crédit Agricole in France, before joining the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Tunisia, and then the British company Actis in Nigeria, where he worked in private equity. He then joined Capital Group, one of the world's largest asset managers, where he was Head of Investments for Africa.In 2018, he founded Diabs Invest, an independent investment firm based in Geneva, specializing in financial advisory and financing high-potential projects in Africa.A graduate of the École Centrale de Lille, Mr. Diaby also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
