Description

Dr. Hala Elsadek is a Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering since 2012. Her Master's degree was from Japan in 1996, while her PhD was through a channel program with the University of California, Irvine, USA in 2002. A key focus of her professional career has been her role in ICT for Community Development (ICT4D).In October 2006, she she was nominated by the United Nations Development Programme in Egypt to work on Ministry of Communication and Information Technology projects, using ICT to foster sustainable socioeconomic development in Egypt. Through her work, she and her team succeeded in establishing more than 30 developmental projects, which garnted about 26 international awards. Since November 2022, she has served as the Director of the Central Department for Digital Community Development.
