Description
Lyza ShoduCountry Representative, GEAPP — Democratic Republic of the CongoLyza Shodu leads GEAPP’s strategy implementation in the DRC to grow the off grid sector and increase access to electricity. She focuses on three priorities: creating an enabling environment, increasing energy supply, and stimulating demand to make business models viable. Lyza has facilitated partnerships between the government and the private sector through the ELAN and ESSOR programmes — funded by the FCDO — to build the off grid sector value chain. She also contributed to the creation and operationalization of the national subsidy fund, Mwinda Fund, strengthening financing mechanisms for sustainable energy access.
