James is Standardization Lead at SaferAI. He has been a regular contributor to the G7 Hiroshima AI Process (HAIP) Reporting Framework since its inception, and co-authored a post with the OECD's AI team highlighting key findings on the survey's first round of responses.James is the co-project leader of the EN AI Risk Management standard at CEN-CENELEC JTC 21, and the editor of ISO/IEC 42119-8 addressing benchmarking and red-teaming of advanced LLMs. He also participated in and gave technical presentations during the drafting of the EU’s general-purpose AI (GPAI) Code of Practice.James has fifteen years of experience as an electrical engineer in spacecraft testing, launch and operations at Northrop Grumman and Airbus.
