Description

Ksenia Ermoshina holds a PhD in the socio-economics of innovation (Ecole des Mines de Paris) and is a senior researcher at the CNRS Internet and Society Center. She is also an associate researcher at the Citizen Lab (University of Toronto) and eQualitie. Her research focuses on issues of surveillance, censorship, and regulation of the Russian internet and control of internet infrastructure in times of war, as well as issues of digital security, development and use of encrypted messaging, decentralized internet architectures, and European technological sovereignty. She is involved in the development of several free software programs, including Delta Chat, the Ceno browser, and the Ouisync file-sharing system.
