Description

Mamman Nuhu (Amb.) is the Executive Secretary of the Lake Chad Basin Commission and Head of Mission of the Multinational Joint Task Force. With over 42 years in the Nigerian Foreign Service since 1982, he has served in France, Chad, the USA, South Africa and Zimbabwe where he was Nigeria’s Ambassador from 2011 – 2014. Since 2018, he has been the Executive Secretary and Head of Mission. In that capacity, he leads the LCBC’s water management, ecosystem conservation, and peace initiatives in the Lake Chad Basin, while promoting hydro-diplomacy for regional cooperation and directing strategic efforts against the Boko Haram insurgency.
