Description

Driss Lahlou Kitane is a data scientist and entrepreneur with a PhD from MIT’s Operations Research Center and an Engineering Degree from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris), his research focused on sparsity in machine learning. He is the CEO of Ground Truth Analytics, a company that applies artificial intelligence and data science to agriculture to support smarter decision-making for farmers and policymakers. With over a decade of experience in optimization, strategy, and quantitative modeling, he has co-authored influential research such as Sparse PCA: A Geometric Approach and received the INFORMS Pierskalla Best Paper Award in 2020 for his work on data-driven responses to COVID-19.
