Description

Dr Atafeim Abalo is the Vice-President of the Association of Women in Mining in Africa (AWIMA) and the National President of AFEMET (WIM Togo). She works as an investment officer at Togo Invest. She is also a part time lecture at the University of Lomé-Togo, as a geologist/geotechnical engineer.Through her leadership and charisma, she works daily for more women in control of their own development. She has demonstrated skills in mining policy, contractual negotiations, international investment treaties, environment, etc.Her recent achievement at the National level is the organization and training of artisanal mining cooperatives, for their socio-economic empowerment and compliance with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. At the Continental level, she have carried out, the project of « eliminating violence against women - EVEFMINAF » as it’s manager.
