A member of the Independent Oversight Board and the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence, she brings a strong Global South perspective to global debates on content moderation, platform accountability, and AI governance. For over 15 years, Nighat has advanced freedom of expression, data protection, and online safety for women and marginalized communities across global south.
