Description

Qahir Dhanani is a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group, serving on the leadership teams of the firm’s Public Sector and Social Impact Practices. He oversees BCG’s engagements with multilateral organizations and international financial institutions, including the Bretton Woods Institutions and the United Nations, among others.Qahir specializes in advising senior leaders and organizations across the public, private and social sectors on policies and initiatives designed to accelerate the eradication of extreme poverty, drive action on the SDGs, increase financing for development and climate, and enhance institutional excellence, efficiency and effectiveness.He began his career at the Aga Khan Development Network, then held various positions at the World Bank Group, including as an Advisor to the CEO. Qahir earned an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BA from Cornell University. He was also a visiting scholar at Oxford University. He lives in the Washington, DC area with his wife and two daughters.
