Dorothee Hutter is Country Director Ethiopia and Djibouti at GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, www.giz.de), based in Addis Abeba and has more than 30 years of experience in international cooperation, with a strong focus on conflict management, communication and general management. Previously, she headed amongst others GIZ´s Syria portfolio, was director of GIZ´s worldwide corporate communications and country director in Uganda. In addition, she worked for private and non-governmental organizations, is part of Women Peace Mediators Germany Network www.wpm-germany.de and member of the board of trustees at Conciliation Resources www.c-r.org.
