Description

Luis Vassy, 44, has been Director of Sciences Po and Administrator of the Fondation nationale des sciences politiques since October 2024. A diplomat (2004–2024), he served as press adviser and spokesperson at the French Embassy in Washington (2008–2012). At the Ministry of Armed Forces (2012–2017), he was Deputy Diplomatic Adviser and Chief of Staff to the Minister for Veterans Affairs. In 2017, he became Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs. He was appointed Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW in 2019. Back in Paris, he served as Chief of Staff to Foreign Ministers Catherine Colonna and Stéphane Séjourné. He has taught at Sciences Po and Paris I, and is a graduate of ENS Cachan, Sciences Po, and ENA.
