Description
Hélène Djoufelkit is the Deputy Executive Director for Global Client Solutions in charge of Sustainable Finance and Economy. She has begun her AFD career in 2004 at the research department working mainly on the link between economic rents and development in resource-rich countries, on the Franc Zone macroeconomics, and on innovative financing instruments, such as debt-service suspension mechanism for AFD loans. In 2008, she was appointed as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director for France at the IMF and the World Bank, in charge of African issues. From 2012, she spent four years as Deputy Country Director of AFD Office in Egypt. She went back in Paris in 2016 as successively head of the Corporate Strategy and Accountability Unit and Director of the Economic Assessment and Public Policy Department. She holds a Ph.D in development economics from the Centre d’études et de recherches sur le développement international (CERDI).
