Description

Xavier Hospital is Team Leader for School Health, Monitoring, Evaluation and Research in the Section of Health and Education at UNESCO. He coordinates contributions to education sector planning, strategic information, results-based management, and coordination with partners. Previously, he led large-scale programmes on early and unintended pregnancy, HIV, gender-based violence, and gender disparities in education in West and Central Africa. He has experience in securing high-level political commitment, capacity building, M&E, and developing digital tools such as a health education application for adolescents and tools to analyse health education programmes. He has worked in health and education for over 18 years with organisations including Doctors of the World, Plan International, ACPP and UNESCO. He holds a PhD in social psychology.
