Description
Ana Yang is the Director of Environment and Society Centre at Chatham House. Her research interests lie at the intersection of socioeconomic development, climate transition and natural resource use and the role of finance and innovation as levers of change. Prior to Chatham House, Ana worked at the Children's Investment Fund Foundation, where she led the land use and finance workstream of the Climate Change Programme and managed the Latin America portfolio. Ana's work experience spans across different sectors from industry supply chains, environmental advocacy group, development finance, philanthropy and think tank. She brings rigour in analytical thinking, combined with practical delivery capability to build bridges and enact change. Brazilian-born of Taiwanese descent, she is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, Portuguese, and Spanish and can navigate across cultures, languages, and mindsets.She is now chair of the board of Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS), Brazil’s largest climate philanthropy and co-chair of FILE a global climate litigation foundation. She is also an independent member of the Sustainability Advisory Committee of MBRF SA.
