Soli ÖzelSoli Özel holds a BA in Economics from Benningon College and an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins-SAIS.Özel was a fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna in 2024-2025. He has been a columnist in various publications. He teaches at Koç University in İstanbul. Currently he is a senior fellow at Institut Montaigne.He co-authored a book with Michael T. Rock, Elite Origins of Development and Democracy. He is a member of the ECFR.
