Description

In an era of geopolitical fragmentation and rising cyber threats, the lines between domestic and international security have blurred. From ransomware attacks to digital espionage, cyber threats no longer target just individual systems -  they target critical assets for populations, public trust, and sovereignty. INTERPOL plays a growing role in facilitating cross-border cybercrime investigations, intelligence sharing, and capacity building among law enforcement agencies. Montenegro, as a state at the crossroads of East and West and a member of NATO, has faced first-hand the vulnerability of critical infrastructure. This session will explore how international cooperation can combat cybercrime effectively. What is the role of global policing institutions like INTERPOL in responding to these threats? How can states become digitally resilient and innovative?
