AKF Afghanistan’s OMID project pioneered a fresh approach to peacebuilding by rooting pluralism in complex social and cultural settings within diverse communities of Afghanistan. Addressing a long-ignored local dispute over a water channel fostered inclusive development helped strengthen cohesion, while enhancing local-level cooperation for greater all essential ingredients for local peace.
